This week saw the signing off and acceptance of the €8.6m Danish Govt funded project to the University of Mines & Technology ( UMaT) in Tarkwa, Ghana . Both Wagtech And Trace2o have been the exclusive equipment supplier and this has included multiple water testing kits , portable labs , reagents , mobile trailer surveillance units , materials testing equipment and high end analytical Shimadzu instruments .
In what will be Africa’s largest and newest Environmental Testing Laboratory , this Centre of Excellence will also be income generating as it receives samples and charges for testing them from within the surrounding mining and oil companies .
Chris Stapleton from Wagtech – Trace2o attended the signing off Ceremony, alongside Wagtech’s Danish partner Desmi Contracting. Also in attendance was the Vice Chancellor and Project Manager of UMaT, Professors Kumar and Newton , respectively . The complete UMaT team acknowledged that this was the perfect partnership between a manufacturing technology company ( Trace2o) and a turnkey solutions provider ( Wagtech Projects) . Praise was also given to Wagtech ( Ghana ) Ltd who have tirelessly provided a complete installation , commissioning and training service.
